The Youth of Box Hill are the focus of many of the clubs projects. The club has two Scholarship / Awards that it provides each year to support children with their education costs. Over the years many children have been sent interstate for holidays. The club has been regularly involved with "Youth of The Year", and many International Youth Exchanges have been conducted on a regular basis with our sister club in Matsudo in Japan.

The year 1998 / 99 saw the club heavily involved with the purchase of three electronic beds for Box Hill hospital and a grant of $11,000 for a child care centre.

Over the history of Box Hill Lions club we have been involved in numerous International projects - some being:

  • Assistance to an Australian doctor in Mozambique by supplying books,
  • Sponsoring several Eye Camps in India,
  • Books and pumps to the Lions Club of Apia,
  • Providing goods and material to Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Eritrea and South Africa,
  • The Supply of a water tank to Bali,
  • Assistance with a girl studying overseas,
  • Hampers to Fiji,
  • Deepening of wells in India,
  • Water cooler for Pakistan,
  • Hearing aid for a Malaysian boy.
